YOU ARE NEVER TOO OLD TO SET ANOTHER GOAL OR TO DREAM A NEW DREAM.

Journey to Improved Health

In the same fashion as my previous post about Always Eat After 7PM by Joel Marion, this post is also brought to you with them as my sponsor, but no worries, these are my opinions!

Before I jump in too deep, if you havenโ€™t read my last blog post, I strongly suggest that you do. This is a continuation of my journey to a healthier and subsequently happier version of me. A quick refresher never hurt anybody though! Iโ€™m talking about this book, Always Eat After 7PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacksโ€”While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion that is now available to purchase! Let’s talk about why I chose to read this book and give you some more context on the author.

I have spent a lot of time thinking about how exactly I want to go about attaining my goals. Honestly, I had already made many small changes before finding this book. While I have been willing to make small changes here and there, I have not been willing to commit; especially to any sort of diet because of the results I have seen with so many others. I myself have never successfully gone on a diet because it feels like more work than itโ€™s worth. Up to this point, Iโ€™m like, Iโ€™m just going to make a few better eating choices a week and throw in some exercise! That seems like a recipe for success, right? Yeah, I havenโ€™t gotten very far doing things my way, so I am much more receptive to other ideas now.

Letโ€™s start with a quote, shall we?

โ€œAlways Eat After 7 pm is a three-phase program that teaches you how to lose big by strategically eating big when you are naturally hungriestโ€”in the evening. This may sound too good to be true, but let me assure you it is no gimmick. Itโ€™s all about making strategic and smart food swaps, and you can still eat your favorite foods.โ€ โ€“ Joel Marion

I get it, this must sound crazy, but I can think of many times when crazy has worked out to my benefit! Joel Marion is a fitness expert and nutritionist in addition to being a bestselling author. If heโ€™s going to offer me a simple, yet highly effective weight loss program, I think itโ€™s best that I at least give it the benefit of the doubt! Traditionally, we have been taught to avoid carbs (which I love), have an early dinner (which I HATE), and never eat before bed (which I do). But the fact is, the latest scientific research shows us this earlier model is not the most ideal; I donโ€™t know about you, but that is music to my ears!

I present to you, the one and only, Joel Marion!

Now, I really wanted to get to know Mr. Marion, so hereโ€™s a recap of my interview with him. Like all good interviewers, naturally I wanted to know WHY he chose to write this book. One of the main reasons is that after writing several books that went on to be best sellers, he realizes that while there are a ton of misconceptions about diet, two are bigger than the rest! What are they? One, that you should not be eating large portions that clearly leave you satiated. I know my mom likes to joke and say, โ€œughhhh. Iโ€™m sinning!โ€ after she eats a meal that leaves her completely full. I know I typically avoid getting โ€œtooโ€ full for the fear of sinking into what I affectionately call a โ€œfood comaโ€. These are both euphemisms for that ideology.

The second misconception is that you absolutely should not be eating late at night or before bed time. I cannot tell you guys how many times I have told my husband, we have GOT to stop eating so late or weโ€™re never going to be the sizes that we want to be! The great thing about science and the world in general is that they both are ever evolving! Science shows now shows that you CAN indeed eat late at night and Mr.Marionโ€™s book has been teaching me an enjoyable approach to dieting that can also help us (including my husband AND you guys here) attain our weight loss goals!

Continuing on, because Iโ€™m absolutely sure that you want more! I also wanted to know how LONG it took to develop of plan so different from all of the others out there. He says that the process was not a short one. It took him several years of researching to discover the true science of what we all really want to do, eating late at night. After many revisions, edits, upgrades, and changes, he says that he finally found a solution that overcomes all of the pits falls that other diets canโ€™t!

Here are a few more answers that Joel Marion gives during his interview.

Question 1: What was the most surprising discovery when you were researching scientific data for the diet? โ€œThat almost everything my college education and certifications taught me was NOT grounded in published scientific research.โ€

Pregunta 2: Youโ€™re a six-time best selling author, what is different about this book compared to your others? โ€œAlthough many of the concepts are similar, the biggest difference is that you don’t have to deprive yourself of your favorite foods. You don’t have to deal with the burden of eating every few hours. And you don’t have to skip the carbs at dinnertime or avoid eating before bed.โ€

La question 3: How difficult is the Always Eat After 7PM plan to follow? โ€œIt’s not. And that’s exactly why I wrote the book. While any diet is never truly easy, it can be more enjoyable and much easier to adhere to when you understand how Always Eat After 7pm works because it caters to our bodies natural instincts.โ€

& lastly, question 4: If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be? โ€œBorn To Impactโ€

Powerful stuff here my friends; powerful stuff. This post is getting pretty wordy; sorry, I talk a lot when I get excited. You can learn more about this book and where to buy it by clicking here. I hope you guys enjoyed this post brought to you by my sponsor, โ€œAlways Eat After 7pmโ€. Never fear, my opinions will always be here!
