This post has been brought to you by InnovAsian; but all opinions are mine.
Raise your hand if the thought of having to cook dinner at the end of a long day has put you in the dumps. Obviously, I can’t see if you raised your hand, but both of my hands are raised! I’m very honest about not being a huge fan of cooking. I am a product of my generation; I love instant gratification and I hate waiting on food to be prepared. It’s easy to blame my upbringing. Coming from a family that was always on the go, it was usually out of necessity that we were always in somebody’s drive-thru. Now as a mother and medical professional, I am constantly reminded of the importance of eating.
Where else are we supposed to get our energy from?
Well, what do you do? I personally love a good frozen dinner, but only from particular companies! My husband frequently makes InnovAsian Chicken that he picks up from Walmart. I used to REFUSE to eat frozen Asian food because it never turned out right to me. But the first time my husband made InnovAsian’s General Tso Chicken for dinner, I was sure that he had picked it up from a local restaurant! I was happy to be wrong for once; plus the mom in me was thrilled to read that the meals are full of protein at an affordable price. Cooking at home is better for wallets and for family bonding.

I love General Tso Chicken, but I also like InnovAsian’s Orange Chicken as well! A few other flavors offered are Sweet and Sour, Crispy Honey, and Crispy Mango. Mmm, mmm good! Those flavors sound amazing! It is so simple to make a full meal in about 20 minutes. I’ve never done a recipe on my blog, but there’s a first time for everything right? So here’s my “recipe” for making a fast, easy, and delicious dinner with InnovAsian!

Squally Muffin’s World Class Recipe for making InnovAsian Chicken
- Pre-Heat the Oven to 400.
- Place the Sauce pouch for your preferred InnovAsian chicken flavor into a warm bowl of water to thaw it out.
- Dump your bag of tempura chicken in a baking pan and bake it (uncovered) for 17-19 minutes.
- While that’s baking, I like to use my rice cooker to make some rice.
- Steam some broccoli and season it to taste to add with your rice and InnovAsian Chicken
- Open the Sauce pouch from earlier and stir it into the tempura chicken pan and cook it for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Put the chicken, rice, and broccoli on a plate together and enjoy it!

Winner winner InnovAsian Chicken Dinner friends! In under 30 minutes, you’ve made a delicious meal to feed the whole family. And I didn’t have to go out of my way to get it. As we’re all desperately trying to establish new normals this fall, it’s so nice to know that I can pick up a couple of boxes of InnovAsian frozen meals during our normal Walmart runs.
My daughter lovessss chicken, but if she has it her way, she only ever wants chicken nuggets. Another mom win for me with InnovAsian is that she not only gets to expand her picky-eater pallet, but we’re also teaching her to enjoy the foods of other cultures. Trying to eat with chopsticks helps to make her culturally aware of how people of other cultures eat can eat AND doubles as a great way to strengthen those fine motor skills.
Thank you InnovAsian for sponsoring this post and keeping dinner convenient, and packed with protein for us!
